Troy and I met in July of 1997. We were working for the same company and we, along with several others, were sent for training in Houston, TX, for five-six weeks. We started dating immediately and got to know each other pretty well. We created many wonderful memories together in Texas & Louisiana including visiting Austin, Houston, San Antonio and New Orleans, LA. Since then we have traveled to many other states & countries together and are still creating wonderful memories. We have now been married over five years and are even happier today! We have added two cats to our family!

One of the most incredible parts of our story is Troy is extremely allergic to cats while I absolutely adore them. I always have!! When we married, I realized cats would be impossible to own, I accepted this immediately and didn't regret it nor did I ever bring it up to Troy, knowing his condition. One day, a good friend of ours mentioned she had heard of a breed of cats that were considered hypoallergenic. I asked what breed and she said Siberian. So I did some research and found out that most breeders were located very far away. The closest being in Los Gatos, CA (a 7 hour drive from us). Troy told me to schedule a trip so we could do a "trial run" and gage his allergies. So, we decided to visit a breeder in Los Gatos. That evening we took the kitten and spent the night in a local hotel to test Troy's reaction. What a trooper!! He did have some reaction (not as bad as normal) and looked me straight in the eye and said that he loved me far more than allergies. He said he wanted to bring the kitten home. If needed, he would take allegy shots to adapt. I cannnot describe to this day what that moment meant to me.

Not only did he adapt to Kolohe but now a year and a half later we have a second kitten, Kekoa, and Troy is pefect. God is so good for allowing me to not only have two adorable cats but also a husband that would sacrifice his own health just to make me happy.
